Oil cleansing is thought to stem from ancient bathing practices. In biblical times, it was custom to be anointed with oil to cleanse the soul. Theresa Edward, Skin Alchemists Founder & Formulator, wanted to combine both practices and bring to an otherwise routine practice - a moment of pause, breath, release, acceptance, and surrender.

The Humble Warrior is the optimal first step to any daily cleansing regime. Its “oil pulling” for your skin in a masterful blend of large and small molecule oils that provide the perfect combination for detoxifying the skin by lifting hard to remove makeup, cleansing pore debris, and relaxing the mind.

The Ritual:
Shake the bottle and add a few pumps into your palm. Gently rub palms together to warm the oil, bring to the nose, and take a deep breath exhaling slowly, repeat three times. Massage into face, neck, and décolletage to stimulate circulation and release environmental debris. Follow by cushioning your face in a warm steamy face cloth. Hold for 5 seconds. Softly sweep cloth over oiled areas. Repeat if necessary.

Theresa's Tips: I crave minimalism and in this world of unlimited choice, it's easy to feel overwhelmed by multiple skincare products. I wanted the Humble Warrior to be multifunctional. Bathroom minimalism at its best. It is intentionally formulated to double up as hair and scalp therapy, a massage oil, after bath or shower oil, cuticle oil, after sun care, and beard oil
