Great for All Skin Types. (Night use only. However, hormonal, dehydrated and dry would benefit the most. It is ideal for hormonal adult acne, wrinkles, pigmentation, lack of vitality, photo-damage, enlarged pores, and rough skin texture).

This multi-correctional sleeping oil contains potent and clinically proven rejuvenating actives such as stable Retinaldehyde, Paracress, Vitamin E and Co-Q10+ that work in synergy with anti-inflammatory Bisabolol to address skin conditions such as breakouts, lines, pore congestion, uneven skin tone and general loss of vitality. Furthermore, precious Olive Squalane, Hazelnut, and Rice Oils replenish skin's lipids overnight and help tone down redness and infuse skin with nutrients for youthful and glowing skin. Retinal alone is wonderful for normalizing and regulating skin function and its role goes beyond treating wrinkles. It can also increase cell thickness, affect gene expression, and increase the production of collagen from within.

Made in the UK.

0.7 oz./ 20 ml.

After cleansing, apply a few drops of our Hydration Booster Serum for optimum skin preparation. Wait a few minutes till the serum has sunk in before applying a thick layer of Skin rehab rich cocktail with a single pump of Retinal oil. Massage gently, until fully absorbed.

Safety First:
It is important you perform a patch test 24 hours before a full face application. This night oil-serum provides a medium strength retinoic acid and is not recommended to clients who have never used retinoids before. However, if you still decide to go for this product, do take it slow and buffer extensively. A buffering technique is combining retinoids with a rich moisturizer to dilute the active and allow your skin to adjust. Ideally, you would use our Skin Rehab Rich Cream as it has been specifically formulated to help with the side effects of retinoic acid. A Niacinamide based serum such as our Hydration Booster Serum would be a wonderful addition to layer under the oil and cream.

Remember not to use this oil more than once or twice a week for the first few weeks. After scaling and irritation have subsided you can apply more often.

Side Effects:
Retinoids promote skin cell turnover so it is normal for you to experience some breakouts during the first two weeks which is commonly called "purging". Other common reactions in the first few weeks of using retinoids are redness, stinging, scaling and dryness. Do not give up too early discouraged by the side effects. Remember that these are only temporary. Once your skin adjusts you will only reap the benefits of this brilliant active.

At 0.05% concentration Retinaldehyde is as effective as 0.05% retinoic acid for the treatment of photoaging. In comparison, retinol is 20 times less potent than tretinoin. Like all non-prescription retinoids, both Retinaldehyde and Retinol have to be first converted by skin enzymes to the only active form of Vitamin A (aka Retinoic Acid) before they can start working their rejuvenating magic.

Here’s the sequence of the conversion process: Retinyl palmitate → Retinol → Retinaldehyde → Retinoic Acid (Tretinoin)

The closer on this cascade a compound is to Retinoic Acid, the more readily it can be converted, and the more effective it becomes.

Do not use while pregnant or breastfeeding. Use at night only. Do not use on damp skin as your skin is not able to distribute the active equally and you may experience more redness and burn in certain areas. Always blot dry before the application of each layer.

Always wear SPF protection the following day. As with all our products we recommend a patch test 24 hours prior to use. For external use only. While it is normal to experience some irritation and peeling the first few weeks of use; if you notice any adverse reactions stop using immediately. Do not use it in the same routine with acids.
